In the depth of 2020's COVID Christmas, the Brecon Beacon's took a step back, now rid from its continuous stream of visitors. I live a couple of miles away from the great giants- Pen-y-Fan, Cribyn, and Corn Du. On New Year's Day 2021 I decided to capture this dramatic wilderness by air. The above video is the result, and following the work's online success it was noticed by the BBC, who shared it on their website and on their Welsh News Channels. For me this was not a fully positive experience, as this was followed by some negative feedback on social media channels, with online commentators suggesting I travelled a great distance from home to capture the footage.
